David Dines

David Dines, M.D. is a shoulder surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery located in New York, NY and Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, NY. He is co-developer of Biomet’s Comprehensive® Shoulder System and specializes in shoulder and sports medicine procedures, including shoulder replacement, sports shoulder injuries, arthroscopic shoulder surgery and revision shoulder arthroplasty.

Dr. Dines is Chairman and Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center and Professor at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He is past president of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons (ASES), as well as a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), American Orthopaedic Association and American College of Sports Medicine. Dr. Dines earned his undergraduate degree from Lehigh University before receiving his medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. In addition to an internship at New York Hospital, he completed his residency at Hospital for Special Surgery, where he now serves as Assistant Attending Orthopaedic Surgeon.
