Total Knee Replacement
Rochester, MI – On Thursday, June 14, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. EST, Biomet will sponsor a live total knee replacement that will be broadcast from Crittenton Hospital in Rochester Hills, Michigan performed by Jeffrey H. DeClaire, M.D., of the DeClaire Knee & Orthopaedic Institute. Dr. DeClaire will utilize the latest in minimally invasive instrumentation and implants from Biomet Orthopedics, Inc.
The procedure will utilize the Vanguard™ Complete Knee System, Microplasty® Elite Instrumentation and Microplasty™ Tibial Tray. The Microplasty™ Tibial Tray features a reduced profile stem, allowing for simplified implantation in a minimally invasive approach. The Vanguard™ Complete Knee System is designed to fit the entire population, regardless of race, gender or stature and features 10 femoral sizes, 9 tibial sizes and full femoral/tibial interchangeability, offering a near custom fit. Microplasty® Elite Instrumentation was built upon the heritage of Microplasty® instrumentation.
The event will be moderated by Keith Berend, M.D. of Mt. Carmel New Albany Surgical Hospital in New Albany, OH.
